Architects designed many high-spot scenic platforms, in order to let travelers view the spectacular and fascinating sceneries of the nature from high spots.

The following top 10 are definitely the superior masterpieces.

Top 1: Dachstein Skywalk, Austria

Dachstein Skywalk, known as “Balcony of the Alps”, is literally enthroned at 2.700m sea level, on the very top of the 250 m straight vertical falling rocks of the Hunerkogel. A 360-Degree panorama provides visitors with a view to Slovenia in the south and to the Czech Repulic in the North. The height above sea level of Dachstein Skywalk surpassed Niagara Falls and Iguazu Falls.

Top 2: Stegastein Viewpoint, Aurlandsfjord, Norway

Stegastein Viewpoint, stands at 2000 feet height above the sea level, is built by Todd Saunders and Tommie Wihelmsen. It’s one of the most popular attractions in Norway. 

Stegastein Viewpoint appears as a “V”. The bending part provides the holing power for the whole viewpoint, and the horizontal part is covered with a large piece of glasses to avoid accidents happened. If you are brave enough, you can walk near the furthest point to enjoy the incredible fjord scenery. 
 

Top 3: Grand Canyon Skywalk, Arizona, US

The horseshoe-shaped Grand Canyon Skywalk stands at a 4,000 feet (1,219 m) height above the floor of the canyon, a height exceeding those of the world’s tallest skyscrapers. Standing on the Skywalk, you will really know what means “Soul Stirring”.

The Skywalk protrudes 20 metres (66 ft) beyond the edge of the canyon. The walls and floor are built from glass 2 inches (50.8 mm) thick. The glass appears tinted on both edges; however, this is a protective cushioning for the glass. This running along the sides can be used as a sort of "safe zone" by nervous visitors. While the Skywalk is capable of holding 70 tons of weight (the equivalent of 800 people weighing 80 kg (176 lb) each), the permitted capacity is limited to 200 persons.

 

Top 4: Iguazu Falls Walkway, Brazil

Iguazu Falls, located at a huge subtropical natural reserve, is one of the most famous travel destinations in the world. Standing on the walkway, you can get close to the falls and enjoy the marvelous sceneries. You’d better not lose a chance to get the close view of the falls, although it needs you brave enough.

The walkway stands a horrible distance with the falls, once travelers move on it, the clothes would be splashed by the water. Travelers can hear nothing but the stunning water splashing sound. You can image the scenery that the waterfalls lashing down from an 80m height. What a spectacular view!
 

Top 5: Auckland Sky Tower, New Zealand

The Sky Tower is an observation and telecommunications tower located on the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets in the Auckland CBD, Auckland City, New Zealand. It is the tallest architecture at southern hemisphere reaches at 328m. During construction 15,000 cubic meters of concrete, 2,000 metric tons of reinforcing steel and 660 metric tons of structural steel were used. 

It has three observation decks at different heights, each providing 360 degree views of the city. The main observation level at 186m has 38mm thick glass sections of flooring giving a view straight to the ground. The top observation deck labeled ‘Skydeck’ sits just below the main antenna at 220m and gives views of up to 82km in the distance.

Top 6: Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk, Australia

Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk was finished in 5 months. The 1500 meter rainforest walk includes the 500 meter long, 25 meter high elevated treetop walk which provides a new and unique viewing perspective of the rainforest along the Illawarra escarpment. The walkway’s two swaying springboard cantilevered sections take you to the edge of the escarpment.  Ensure you climb the spiral staircase and take in the breathtaking views from the Treetop Walk’s 45 metre high lookout tower – Knight’s Tower. Set atop the escarpment of Knight’s Hill, the 500 metre elevated walkway features two cantilevered arms, that take visitors to the edge of the forest fall line and offers inspiring views over the valley to Lake Illawarra and the South Pacific Ocean.

Top 7: The Landscape Promontory, Switzerland

The landscape promontory is a suspended viewing platform designed by Paolo Bürgi as part of the cardada project, a revitalisation of the Cardada Mountain that is expected to finish in 2010. As with ‘il binocolo’, the steel and titanium platform enables you to walk amongst the tree tops and experience a view of Lake Maggiore that was previously unattainable.

Top 8: The House on the Rock, Wisconsin, US

The House on the Rock, originally opened in 1959, is a complex of architecturally unique rooms, streets, gardens and shops designed by Alex Jordan, Jr. It is atop Deer Shelter Rock, a column of rock approximately 60 feet tall, 70 feet by 200 feet on the top, which stands in a forest south of Spring Green, Wisconsin. Additions were made to the original structure and other buildings added over the course of several decades. The complex now features "The Streets of Yesterday", a re-creation of an early twentieth century American town; "The Heritage of the Sea", featuring nautical exhibits and a 200-ft model of a fanciful whale-like sea creature; "The Music of Yesterday", a huge collection of automatic music machines; and what the management bills as "the world’s largest indoor carousel”, among other attractions.

Top 9: Il Binocolo, Meran, Italy

Within the gardens of trauttmansdorff castle in Italy you’ll find this charming steel platform poking out through the trees, its name (meaning ‘the binoculars’) coming from the shape of the platform’s small roof and the view of the surrounding landscape. This viewpoint is designed by architect Matteo Thun.
 

Top 10: Top of Tyrol, Austria

The platform is reached by driving to Mutterburgalm, taking a gondala and then the funicular to the mountain station Schaufeljoch (3180m above sea level) where it is then only a 70 meter walk to the lookout. Top of Tyrol is a spectacular cantilevered viewing platform overhanging a ridge of mount insider in Austria. Admittedly the same view could have been gained without the steel platform but it definitely provides a deceivingly safe area for tourists wanting a perfect view of Stubai glacier. Plus there’s always the attraction of the thrill factor as you stand 9m away from the mountain.
