Sixty-four of the top college basketball teams will soon be taking part in what many call the most exciting time of the year – the NCAA basketball tournament. This legendary tournament will have teams from all over the nation flying to different parts of the country to play each other until the field of 64 (65 if you count the play-in game) is whittled down to one national champion.

While the teams go on a tour of the United States on the annual competition, millions of college basketball fans have already figured out who will win, or at least they think they have. That’s because fans across the country have downloaded tournament brackets to participate in office pools, compete with their friends or just have fun by picking the winner of each game that will take place over the next few weekends.

The NCAA Tournament, which begins with “March Madness” when teams across the country play in league tournaments to try and make “The Big Dance” in case their college isn’t chosen as one of the participants in the tourney. The first round of games this Thursday will featured number 11 seeded Old Dominion as they take on the sixth-seeded Notre Dame as they start off their title aspirations with a tour of New Orleans where they’ll meet.

Some of the favorites of this year’s tournament include Kansas, Kentucky, Duke and Syracuse, all of which have taken tours of the United States competing against other top teams to establish themselves as four of the top teams in the nation. The quartet, who incidentally, are the number one seeds in their regions of the bracket all will be vying to play in the title game on April 5 in Indianapolis.
