Ladies have their girlfriend getaways and their ladies nights out, but what about the men?  While “mancations” haven’t been quite as popular as girlfriend getaways, men are slowly
starting to realize that they need a break from work, the kids, and their spouses every now and then. Unlike the usual bachelor party which usually ends in a night of drunken debauchery, mancations are meant for a more meaningful experience. It is an opportunity for men to escape from the stress of their everyday lives and strengthen bonds with fellow males as they engage in activities they enjoy, not what their wives or children prefer. Trips that involve much physical activity such as hiking, biking, and camping are ideal vacations for a group of men. Tours to the Grand Canyon or Yosemite National Park are both great options and can set the background for a unique bonding experience with other males, as they won’t have to follow their wives around a shopping mall or juggle a child on each arm. Here they can enjoy the wilderness and engage in adrenaline-charged excursions with one another as they foster a sense of camaraderie. So gather the boys from college and plan a mancation  together for the summer! Look into national parks such as a trip to Yellowstone or Yosemite and get ready for an exciting vacation doing what you want to do for a change!
