When Cold Weather Meets a Waterfall

I’ve always been intrigued by waterfalls. Watching massive amounts of water careeing over a cliff for hundreds of feet is an amazing experience. But, sometimes the force of nature can overpower even itself.

 

On December 24, 2008, tourists in East China’s Shangdong Province witnessed Mother Nature at its best by bearing witness to a frozen waterfall. I bet you’re wondering it that’s even possible? That’s like seeing ocean waves frozen over. Well, for all you skeptics, here are the pics to prove it.

After I saw the Longchuang pictures, I did some research and dug up this pic of Niagara Falls completely frozen over in 1911.
