There is certainly no shortage of great attractions in Morocco. The country enjoys a strong sense of culture and a long and ancient history.  Is there any wonder why Morocco continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa?

Some of the more popular cities include Casablanca, Tangier, Fez and Marrakech. Here you can visit the bazaars where you will find an asortement of fine jewerlery, clothing, souvenirs of all types and it will really give you a taste of local Moroccan culture. Morocco offers superb beaches and classy hotels.

Make sure to try the local dish called “cous-cous” at a local restaurant, and accompany it with some traditional tea, with a various array of Moroccan sweets. This is a treat for the senses! Try the hubbly-bubbly pipe which is an essential part of the Moroccan experience and should not be missed!

There are many attractions to been seen in Morocco. Start by heading to the Grottoes of Hercules (also known as the Caves of Hercules), which are situated 14 kms west of the city of Tangier. These caves are interesting and they are a signficant tourist attraction.

Next, a trip to Casablanca where visitors can spend a relaxing day on the beach at Ain Diab. There are many crowds who are drawn here because of the various beach clubs offered. Some of the clubs offer saltwater pools, restaurants and cafés. For more expensive tastes, you will really enjoy the more exclusive beach clubs which include tennis and volleyball courts and even a disco.

In Casablanca, make sure to visit the Cathedral of Sacre Coeur which has a refreshing design that features many traditional Moroccan styles. In the past it was used as a school and then a cultural center. Its beauty really encompases Moroccan architecture and it’s a real gem of the city.

While visiting the city of Fez, make sure to visit the Merenid Tombs, which offer a spectacular overview of the city and a fascinating look into Morocco’s past. For great views of city life, head to the Boujeloud  Gardens, which is an open air café which offers many great dishes and picnic spots.
