Visiting Bali, Indonesia

Bali, Indonesia

Indonesia is an Asian country which is made up of over 17,000 islands and is home to nearly 200 million inhabitants. Bali is one of most remarkable islands of them all because of its rich history, culture and friendly people.

While you are visiting Bali, take a walk on the ocean floor! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity using a unique diving system by “Sea Walker”. You can observe sea life in a safe environment up to a depth of 15 feet, without even getting your hair wet!

Take a trip to the Monkey Forest where these furry creatures run freely and might even touch your shoulder or pant leg- they are not shy! It’s a wonderful way to connect with nature and these animals love to pose for photographs.

For the more adventurous type, I would recommend an exhilarating free-fall into thin air- yes bungee jumping! Located on the grounds of the Double Six nightclub, A.J. Hackett’s bungee jumping is a thrilling experience!

If you enjoy trekking, try climbing “ Gunung Agung” which has two established trekking routes. The first is accessed from Pura Besaik which is a two and a half hour drive from the city Denpasar which takes you to the highest point on the crater’s rim. Make sure to take a local guide with you! For the more advanced hiker, start on the most southern part of “ Gunung Agung” and then climb straight up the 40 degree slope! At the summit, take pleasure in the spectacular views and the feeling of total peace and tranquility which surrounds you.

Make sure to visit Tanah Lot, located approximately 20 minutes from Denpasar. Here you will find a small, yet majestic temple which has been constructed very close to the sea. Enjoy the white, sandy beach located just in front of this serene temple. Tourists and locals alike sit on the beach and listen to the waves crash against the shore, or gaze at the romantic sunset.
balinese-show-pic
Dancing and singing are an integral part of Balinese culture and therefore one should not miss a typical Balinese show with its breathtakingly beautiful dancers who can tell you stories with their captivating eyes as they sway to the rhythm of Balinese traditional music.

Bali is an island of enchantment, mystery and excitement and is waiting for you with open arms!
