The kids will love visiting Sundlaug Akureyrar, which is a recreation center that offers an outdoor swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, play area and fun waterslides. You can also cool off by enjoying local ice cream, try some of the interesting flavours in the Brynja Ice Cream Parlour. Adolescents will have a great time ice fishing in the winter or going on the Húni II boat excursions around the many lakes located near Akureyri.
