The time to take a tour of Vancouver has never been better with the 2010 Winter Olympics kicking off tonight. The Winter Games, which take place once every four years and changes locations with each occurrence, hits the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for two weeks making this a fantastic time for a Vancouver tour.
The 2010 Winter Olympic Games, in which more than 80 countries will be participating, features a variety of events such as Ice Hockey, Speed Skating, Alpine Skiing and Figure Skating, making Vancouver a perfect destination for the event. Not to be outdone by other countries, the United States figures to be prominently featured in a great deal of the events, including Lindsey Vonn, who will try to win five gold medals in the Winter Olympics. While Vonn’s chances of winning a gold medal for the United States have been well documented, a recent shin injury has left her participation in doubt.
Of all of the tours available, perhaps the most enticing is our Globus tour of Vancouver, which not only makes its way in and around Vancouver, but also the city of Whistler, where many of the events will be held. This seven-day tour will start off in Vancouver before setting you up on days four, five and six in Whistler, allowing you to explore the city at your leisure, giving you the chance to see the Winter Olympics festivities on your own and see what all of the fuss over the Games is all about.
