“What else is out there? Might there be some mystical zing of spice you are missing? Could you become a better teacher, citizen, and human by volunteering outside of your country?” When a charming, 6-foot Boston based English teacher found herself pondering over these questions, she decided to listen to her heart and take a yearlong break from teaching to travel around the world.

Many associate Santa Barbara, California with wine country, but the stunning city also has much more to offer. The city is an excellent setting for outdoor adventures such as horseback riding or surfing. For those who are interested in arts and culture, Santa Barbara has plenty of galleries and museums. In addition to these attractions, the city is great for shopping, and is host to some of the finest eateries on the west coast.
New York City has long been associated with Broadway musicals. The theater has recently revived classic performances such as Chicago and West Side Story, but many may be unfamiliar with their newer shows, such as “Promises, Promises” and “Million Dollar Quartet.”
