Catch the Grinch on Your Visit to Universal Studios

In preparation for Christmas, Universal Studios Hollywood will be welcoming the Grinch to help celebrate the holiday season as the park will transform into a winter wonderland straight out of everyone’s favorite childhood story, Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”  Southern California natives can finally experience a White Christmas, as the theme park plans to haul tons of fresh snow to the original movie sets of the classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” film.  As a treat to Los Angeles residents, there will be a playground with enough snow to build snowmen and even craft snow angels!  In addition to an appearance by the Grinch and his faithful four-legged companion Max, other “Whoville” characters will join in on the festivities as well, which will run from December 11 through January 2, 2011.  This Christmas tradition is expected to be so successful that the park decided to add an additional 5 days to the event.  Those on a trip to Universal Studios will also enjoy nightly tree-lighting ceremonies with the imaginative Grinchmas tree, which stands high at 60 feet in the midst of the whimsical winter landscape.  The “Whoville” choir will also serenade its guests with classic holiday carols and reenact favorite scenes from the beloved film.  Celebrity guests will also host readings of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.   The world-famous Studio Tour will take guests along for a tour of the “Whoville” buildings and sets.

This is a wonderful time to visit Universal Studios with family and friends for a truly unique holiday experience; after all, it isn’t everyday when those traveling to Los Angeles are greeted with both the Grinch and real snow.  “Grinchmas” park tickets are the same price as regular admission, and even qualify for the “Buy a Day, Get 2011 Free” annual passes.
