Planning a Grand Canyon tour? The Grand Canyon offers some of the best views and adventures in the United States. Let’s look at some of the options that you have when you get there. I will start with one of the many possible adventures and continue with the others in future articles. Mule Tours – While on your Grand Canyon tour, make sure you look into the many mule rides that are offered. Mule rides are by far the oldest of the Grand Canyon’s adventures. Mules are highly intelligent creatures and are known for their stubbornness. This stubbornness is due to their instinct for self preservation. A good quality for an animal you will be riding down the cliffs of the Grand Canyon. Mule rides into the Grand Canyon are sold out many months in advance so be sure to reserve you trip well in advance. There are also general qualifications that every rider must conform to. Here is a list of what will be required to make the trip: -Must be at least 4ft 7in tall (1.38 meters) -Must be less than 200lbs fully clothed -Must be able to speak and understand fluent English -Must be in good physical condition -Must not be pregnant -Must not be afraid of heights The trips that are available are broken down into the time that you want to spend. Many packages are available from 1 hour rides along the canyon rim to 2 day 1 night stays in the canyon. Many riders are sore from riding the mules all day so be sure to plan accordingly. It may be a good idea to not plan any strenuous activities after the mule trip that you choose. Whichever Grand Canyon tour you choose, be prepared for an overwhelming adventure! Have a good trip!
