Now that the summer crowds have come and gone, hotels in Yosemite National Park have drastically slashed prices to attract winter guests. If you’ve always been planning to take a Yosemite trip, now’s the best time; visit the national park in the winter and take advantage of beautiful accommodations at a bargain at the same time.
The famous Ahwahnee Hotel at Yosemite Valley, a AAA four-diamond hotel that is renowned by many for its stunning architecture and ambiance will drop its prices from the usual $469 a night to as low as $199. The luxurious hotel’s location was specifically chosen for its abundant exposure to the sun, and offers breathtaking views Yosemite National Park’s treasured landmarks: Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and Glacier Point. It is also home to the Ahwahnee Dining Room, which hosts some of the most celebrated culinary events in the country, including Vintner’s, Chef’s Holidays, and the Bracebridge Dinner.
In addition to the Ahwahnee, there are also more conservatively priced options such as the Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, which offers stays starting at $79 with breakfast included. This comfortable lodge is the closest property to the Yosemite Falls, and is an excellent choice for a family Yosemite vacation. The lodge was even recently redesigned to incorporate wood and glass detailing to blend seamlessly with Yosemite’s landscape. Yosemite Lodge at the Falls has also recently debuted environmentally conscious guest rooms that feature sustainable accommodations and furniture.
You may also want to consider staying at the Wawona Hotel during your Yosemite tour, which features rooms for $69 a night with a shared bathroom or $139 for your own. Breakfast buffets are provided at both of these rates. The hotel offers an experience nostalgic of the Victorian era and encourages guests to enjoy the property’s golf course, stable rides, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing activities.
