Sir Paul McCartney Adds San Francisco Stop to Tour

San Francisco Beatles fans will be ecstatic to hear that Sir Paul McCartney has just announced his plans to stop at San Francisco’s AT&T Park as part of his Up and Coming Tour.  The park, which is home to the San Francisco Giants, sits conveniently on the waterfront and provides beautiful scenic views of the city’s skyline, including the Bay Bridge and Oakland.  This will be the first time McCartney has performed in San Francisco since the Beatles amazed fans at Candlestick Park in 1966, which was the band’s final live concert.  The decision to perform in San Francisco was inspired by the tour’s dedication to finding and playing in cities McCartney’s never visited, or hasn’t visited in a while.

McCartney plans to perform a three-hour set which will feature songs from his wildly successful 50 year career, spanning the early days of the Beatles, the Wings years, and his most recent solo work.  The rock star is scheduled to perform on July 10th in San Francisco and tickets go on sale to the public May 24th.  For fans that have been waiting to see the iconic Beatle live, this is truly an opportunity not to be missed.  Take a tour of San Francisco while you’re in the city and enjoy the internationally recognized sites, intoxicating culture, San Francisco luxury hotels, and all the exciting things that this charming city has to offer.
