Ready To Get Creative With The Masses? Visit West Hollywood’s 23rd Annual Halloween Carnaval!

For one night only, West Hollywood becomes the 7th largest city in California, reaching a population of over half a million people from all over the world!  This night is the 23rd Annual West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval.  If you love feeling the energy of being immersed in a giant crowd, flowing down the streets as one, then this is the place for you.  The Carnaval kicks off at La Cienega Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd at 7pm Halloween night.  From there masses of masked party-goers will begin their merry journey along Santa Monica Blvd.

The event is L.A.’s largest next to The Tournament of Roses New Year’s Parade, and has been deemed the “largest Halloween celebration in the world.”  Originally a primarily gay and lesbian festival, over the years it has grown into an event celebrated by people of all different backgrounds, welcoming tourists and locals alike.

This year the 35th Rocky Horror picture show is coming to town to occupy one of Carnaval’s main stages.  The bands Tranzkontinental and the Wandering Marionettes will occupy another stage, coined Club 25, where there will also be aerialists and a rock & roll strip show!  In addition to all the people watching you’ll be doing while wandering down the streets, you’ll also be able to get a look at graffiti artists and go-go dancers perform on mini-stages.

The West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval is an event you definitely don’t want to miss, so let your creative side come out, and get ready to hit the streets with an amazing costume!
