Denver, Colorado is not only an exciting city during the day; it also has great nightlife and something for everyone’s tastes. From great martinis at the Cruise Room Bar, to an amazing jazz bar with a Spanish name “ El Chapultepec”. At Charlie Brown’s Bar and Grill, you will find a classic piano bar with a friendly and fun atmosphere.  

Visit the Downtown Aquarium, which is home to a 150,00 gallon reef tank with all types of fish, sharks and 1.25 million gallons of water. A key feature in the Denver skyline is the Colorado State Capitol building because of its gold bell-shaped dome, fittingly located in the Mile High City, has a point, which is located at exactly 5, 280 feet above sea level. There are free tours available and this is definitely an attraction unique to Denver. 

The United States Mint in Denver offers free tours to the public from Monday to Friday, but is closed on weekends and all federal holidays. Walk-up tour reservations are also available at the Mint Tour Reservation Booth. The tour is informative and is great for history and coin buffs. 

A trip to the historic Bluebird Theatre is a great way to visit a historic 1913 theater, which was first build for silent movies and has been restored. It now offers films, jazz, rock, alternative and other live music concerts.  

Denver has some of the loveliest architecture displayed in its churches and other religious buildings, such as the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and the Ivy Chapel at the Fairmount Cemetery. 

One of Denver’s fun attractions is a visit to the Colorado Governor’s Mansion, where tours are available of this historical building and tours are both interesting and are adapted to family groups. 

For a fun night out, head to Comedy Works, where stars such as Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Jay Leno have all performed. Comedy Works is considered Denver’s most famous comedy club, and is a roaring good time.

Whether you are swinging your hips at the Samba Room, having dinner at Jackson’s All-American Sports Grill or visiting the local sites, Denver is a city which offers locals and tourists a bounty full of fun-filled activities all throughout the year.
