Imagine their surprise when the explorers from the first expedition to Yellowstone National Park was faced with a sudden burst of sparkling water shooting from the ground 125 feet into the air. That was their first-ever geyser sighting, nearly 150 years ago, and they watched it happen over and over again during the day. They called the geyser “Old Faithful”, and you can see it on our Yellowstone tours.
Yellowstone National Park has been a very popular adventure tour destination for decades. As a bit of an outdoorsman, one of my absolute favorite places to visit on a tour is Yellowstone National Park. The park itself extends in to portions of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, and is the first national park to have been established in the United States.
In addition to hundreds of types of wildlife and a huge variety of plantlife, Yellowstone is also home to one of the largest active volcanos in North America! One quick look at all of the geysers and hot springs found in the area is a clear indication of the active nature of the Yellowstone National Park.
