Get out your cameras travelers. The Tours4Fun “Best of Summer” Travel Photo Contest has officially begun and the competition will definitely be fierce this year. The submission period began on August 1st and voting will start September 1st. Only photos of landscapes will be accepted, so break out those digital cameras and catch that breathtaking shot of a sunset on the water or a panoramic view from a mountain top. August 4, 2009 – A Niagara man was prevented from jumping into the Niagara River just above the Canadian Horseshoe Falls tonight.
Police reported that he was mentally disturbed and had escaped from the Greater Niagara General Hospital. He was returned to the hospital for further evaluation under the Mental Health Act.
