The vibrant city of Anaheim is known for its friendly family theme parks, world famous beaches and exciting nightlife.
Huntington Beach is the largest beach in Orange County, and one of several in the Anaheim area. This particular beach features eight miles of sandy coast, along the Pacific Ocean. It offers great surfing waves all year round and is equipped with rentals for surfing equipment, bikes or roller blades. You will also find great restaurants and surf shops within walking distance of the pier.
The kids will love Pirates Dinner Adventure Buena Park with its replica 18th century Spanish galleon ship that is anchored in a 250,000-gallon indoor lagoon with gorgeous sky lighting. Surrounding the lagoon, are six additional ships where the audience is seated to enjoy the show. Spectators on the ships have their own pirate “mascot” whom they cheer on as the adventure unfolds accompanied by pyrotechnics and cannon blasts. By far, the most well-known and popular attraction in the Anaheim area is Disneyland. It offers rides and attractions for people of all ages from younger children to seniors. This park offers attractions for everyone, from taking your picture with Minnie or Mickey Mouse, to the excitement of seeing the abominable snowman of Matterhorn Mountain, to navigating the sea with pirates. If you are looking for more screams and thrills, try Disney’s California Adventure which is located right next door, and offers The Tower of Terror, the park’s newest attraction and thrill ride.
When its time for dinner, head to Medieval Times, for an exciting evening of family entertainment which is based on the romance, and spectacular pageantry of the Middle Ages. Guests can root for their favorite knight as he partakes in jousting, breathtaking swordplay and other medieval traditions. Enjoy your four-course banquet served in true medieval fashion, where eating only with your hands is never frowned upon!
Take in a hockey game or a baseball game and cheer for your favorite team! Shop until you drop at the variety of fancy boutiques and malls located in Anaheim. When the sun goes down, head out to a local bar or discotheque where the party continues all night long!
