This week Tours4fun was terrifically motivated to connect with an adventurous woman who has given a new meaning to the world of travel for women – Susan Eckert. Susan is the founder and President of AdventureWomen Inc., which is the nation’s oldest travel company for women of age 30 years and older. AdventureWomen was founded in 1982 with a strong intent of planning adventure travel exclusively for women. Adventure Travel involves all-women memorable vacations and group activities in some of the most exotic destinations across the world. What makes AdventureWomen unique? Susan’s aspiration to take her passion about traveling to another level by inspiring traveling to promote world peace, to make a difference, and most importantly initiating a desire in women to explore the world that encourages them to break free from societal expectations, and be entirely and truly themselves. Susan has been a devoted crusader who has dedicated three and half decades in discovering the world through her traveling excursions. She chose to indefinitely walk the “travel path” after spending three and half years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa. Her travel motto is facilitating safe and comfortable group travel for women and assisting them to embark on a journey of self-discovery through travel.
