Passport Tips Every Traveler Needs to Know

For anyone traveling out of the country this year, a passport is required for travel.  Whether it’s a trip to Europe, a cruise in the Bahamas,  Mexican vacation, or a weekend in Canada, most travelers know that a passport is now required.  Whether you are applying for a passport for the first time, need to renew your passport, or travel internationally often, here are a few tips for passports:

    * All citizens must have a passport, regardless of age – If you are 1 day old or 100 years old, every citizen is required to have a passport if traveling out of the country.

Remember, the air in planes is dry. So, drink non-alcoholic decaf beverages and water to avoid dehydration. And even healthy people can get blood clots in their legs after long flights.

I first caught the travel bug volunteering in Honduras and ever since then I’ve felt the need to get out on the road and experience as many places as I can. But for all the travelling that I’ve done since, I still look back to Honduras as my fondest travel memory, perhaps partly because it ‘popped my travel cherry’, but mainly because I got to live in a small community for a full year and became fully immersed in the Garifuna culture. In talking to a friend recently I realized alot of what we consider to be overwhelming tasks like planning a round the world trip can be easily attained if simply broken down into SMALLER TASKS.

In a previous post I debunked the myth of a round the world trip costing the proverbial arm and leg. RTW tickets can be less than $2000US depending on stops.

The key to saving for around the world travel, or any type of travel, is to not do it yourself. It should be AUTOMATIC and done by some type of system.
