Take A Tour Of Sedona, Arizona

There are many things to see and many things to do in Sedona. Visitors and residents delight in the area’s natural year-round beauty, which is conducive to many types of outdoor activities. It’s easy to spend several weeks in Sedona exploring hidden canyons and enjoying red rock trails or visiting the area’s sacred sites or Sedona’s energy vortexes.

Sedona’s eco-friendly environment is a perfect base to visit Arizona’s tourist attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Verde Valley and Page.   Sedona’s entertainment options include art, music and film festivals throughout the year, as well as other world-class performances, which include everything from chamber to symphonic music and musical theatre.

Nature lovers will want to try one of the amazing hikes Sedona has to offer.  The trails available in Sedona are as varied as their degree of difficulty, unique location and historical significance. There are some hikes, which lead to very high elevations, some offer excellent views of distant vistas and all of them offer intimate beauty.  Mountain biking is also available- try the very scenic Red Rock Scenic Byway (Highway 179).

Other outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and picnicking are all very popular in the Call of the Canyon, which is located near West Fork. Its worth a trip to Crescent Moon Ranch in order to see its world-famous view of Cathedral Rock and fishing the waters of Oak Creek Canyon is another popular pastime among tourists and locals alike. You will find designated picnic areas in Encinoso, Banjo Bill and Manzanita campgrounds.

Another wonderful Sedona-recreation option is to enjoy Red Rock Country on horseback.  Some horseback rides include delightful extras, such as creek crossings and even outdoor dining. Horseback riding is a fun activity for all!

Make sure to visit Slide Rock State Park, in the heart of Oak Creek. This canyon features a natural water slide eroded into a slick creek bed, which is surrounded by massive red-rock walls. This slide makes this park a family favourite! This 43-acre park also includes a beautiful orchard and historic barn.

Whether you are visiting Red Rock State Park, enjoying a hot-air balloon ride, or a leisurely afternoon on a scenic railroad, Sedona is a city that offers its visitors pristine canyons, ancient ruins and a wonderful experience for all.
