Alexander McQueen Found Dead In His London Home

Fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home at the age of 40. The brilliant, yet controversial fashion designer took his place in the upper-echelon of fashion designers with his wide array of fashion designs that were described as being distinctive, dramatic, different and perfect for red carpet presentations or late-night rock gatherings.

The four-time winner of the British Fashion Designer of the Year was known to cling to his privacy, often turning down interview requests and shunning post-show events. Despite this desire for seclusion, the designer was lauded for his brilliance by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003, who made him a Commander of the British Empire for his fashion leadership.

The designer was only 40 years-old when he was found dead in his London home, which investigators suspect was a suicide. This tragic news could make a European bus tour a bit more interesting as it could include a stop by the home of McQueen, which brings back memories of Giovanni Versace’s murder at the doorstep of his home that brought people from all over the world to take part in tours of Miami to visit the spot where the designer was murdered.

McQueen was scheduled to take part in a fashion show in The Big Apple, which was to be part of a tour of New York for the fashion designer before his untimely death.
